NATURHAVN

NaturHavn is a transformative architectural project situated along the industrial harbor of Copenhagen. It is designed to reintegrate the natural forms of coastlines and rolling hills, softening the formerly rigid, industrial edge into a flowing, organic landscape. The waterfront is reimagined to reflect its natural origins, breaking the hard boundary between land and sea.

Named for its emphasis on nature and harbor (“Natur” and “Havn” in Danish), NaturHavn features topographic green spaces that echo the contours of a hillside, with curved decking that extends into the water to represent the waves. At the heart of the design lies a café and sauna complex, conceptualized as a tree trunk, offering a warm and inviting environment for visitors.
